Vitor Reis has been named LALIGA EA SPORTS' Best Under-23 Player for January, an award given by LALIGA in partnership with Riyadh Season.
The Brazilian has been used by Míchel in all but one of LALIGA's matches (against Athletic Club) and, in addition to establishing himself in Girona's defense, has brought extra reliability and consistency to the back line. This January, he also provided an assist (against RCD Mallorca) and scored the equalizer against Getafe, which earned a valuable point in the dying moments.
He beat Fermín López (FC Barcelona), Gonzalo (Real Madrid), Marc Pubill (Atlético de Madrid), and Alberto Moleiro (Villarreal) in the final vote.
