Previously… Moisés García Fernández 'Arteaga' (Cádiz, Andalusia, 1969) was a central midfielder who first made a name for himself at Cádiz CF before making the step up to life in the Liga BBVA by signing for RCD Espanyol, a club we would play with for nine seasons. Arteaga also played with Rayo Vallecano and Chiclana CF.

Achievements… Over the course of his nine seasons with the Catalan club, between 1993 and 2003, and following his brief spell with the Madrid outfit (2001-02), Arteaga notched up 30 goals and captained the Copa del Rey winning side in 2000.

After hanging up his boots… The Cádiz-native retired in 2007, at 38 years of age, while at Chiclana FC. However, he did not completely cut ties with the world of football and went on to manage a number of teams, such as Chiclana FC and CD Badajoz. He is currently in charge at Balón de Cádiz.

Did you know?… Ever since gaining promotion to the Liga BBVA back in the 1993-94 season, when Arteaga was still playing with the club, Espanyol have not dropped back down to life in the Liga Adelante. During that league campaign, the midfielder clocked up 2248 minutes of playing time and scored four goals.
