Villareal CF and Málaga CF face off on matchday 37 in the Liga BBVA. The Yellow Sunmarine, who clinched sixth place last week by beating Elche CF, will be looking to give their fans more reason to cheer in their final home game of the season with another win. They will be up against an Andalusian side on 50 points who will be looking to defend seventh spot at all costs.
Team news
Villareal still have a thin squad for this match, as Sergio Asenjo, Mateo Musacchio, Ikechukwu Uche, Denis Cheryshev and Adrián Marín are all injured, while Tomás Pina is still a doubt. The visitors meanwhile have a full squad available after Ignacio Camacho returned from injury.

Villarreal coach Marcelino García Toral outlined his side’s aim for the match in a press conference: “Our aim is to win this game at home so we can finish the season in the best way possible,”he said.
Málaga coach Javi Gracia meanwhile said “both teams will play this game at the highest level possible”. The tactician added: “We don’t know what type of game it will be, but Villarreal are a side that know exactly how they want to play and know how to execute their game plan.”
