Fresh from claiming a place in the final of the UEFA Europa League, Sevilla FC will look to cap a magical week with a win. Los hispalenses do not have their fate in their own hands in their bid to finish fourth, but will keep fighting to the last to achieve it. Opponents UD Almería sit one point above the relegation places, so earning a victory is crucial for Sergi Barjuán's men.
Team news
Almería will have to travel to the Andalusian capital without injured defender Francisco Manuel Vélez. Meanwhile, Sevilla will be without Sebastián Cristóforo and Nicolás Pareja, both long-term injury victims. However, boss Unai Emery welcomes back José Antonio Reyes and Benoît Tremoulinas after the pair missed out through suspension last week, in addition to Stéphane M'Bia, who did not play against RC Celta as a precaution.
Views from the dugout
Emery admitted that he is out to send the fans away from his side’s last home match of the season on a high: "We close out the season at our stadium and it’s an unbeatable setting on which to see a great game, and show our maximum level so as to compete".
Almería counterpart Barjuán reiterated the confidence he has in his players: "I believe in the team and in our ability to get the better of our opponents". And he also discussed what he sees as the keys to beating Sevilla: "We have to try to manage the different phases of the game".
