Uruguay: Malaga’s last LFP World Challenge Tour destination

Malaga CF is already in Montevideo where they will play their last game of LFP World Challenge Tour against the historic Club Atlético Peñarol, a team in which some of LaLiga former stars like Diego Forlán, Diego Ifran, Marcelo Zalayeta or managers such as Pablo Javier Bengoechea started their careers.

It also will be a special match for Malaga’s assistant manager, Marcelo 'El Gato' Romero, former Peñarol star who played for the Uruguayan team between 1996 and 2001 and won the legendary Quinteto. 'El Gato' was very happy to return to his homeland:” I had very good times here in Peñarol, we reached big achievements. I'm very happy to be home."

The awaited LaLiga World clash between Peñarol and San Lorenzo will be held on Friday August 1 at the Estadio Centenario in Montevideo.
