Scoreless game between Rayo Vallecano and Valencia CF in the return of Liga BBVA to Vallecas Stadium. Both teams draw 0-0 in their season debut.

Review the five key points of the game that closed this Saturday the first match day of the championship.

 1. Toño's hand on goal line

It was just after 18 minutes when the "vallecano" goalkeeper signed the stop of the night and the action that could change the course of the game. After Valencia CF´s counterattack, a cross from Pablo Piatti extended by Alvaro Negredo and a lethal shot by Santiago Mina, Toño saved with a miraculous hand right on the goal line. So he avoided the first goal of the "Che" team and left a little breath to the Vallecas Stadium.

 2. Piatti acting as leader

The Argentine striker was the most dangerous of Nuno Espirito Santo team in the first half. After several raids to the area, came the clearest chance that, on the 26th minute, and after a jumbled play by the "rayistas" in the box, ended up going away just wide. 3.

3. Manucho came close to take Rayo ahead

The striker could take the lead for Rayo in the second half in a first action in which he failed to reach Nacho´s cross by very little. Minutes later, goal narrowly escaped in a similar chance. A Patrick Ebert cross from the right to the box, but the ball slipped past the post.

4. The return of Lass Bangoura to Vallecas

The Guinean player entered to the game in substitution of Miku Fedor on 67 minutes and set some speed and courage to a Rayo that dominated the second half and showed more intensity than Valencia. Lass was reunited with the Rayo fans after a loan of a year at Granada CF and showed that he wants to stay under the management of Paco Jemez another season. One of his passes to Luis Carlos Fariña could end in a goal but the Argentine could not to get the ball just for an inch.

 5. Negredo had the last chance of the match

Alvaro Negredo had in his boots the last chance of the game, which could change the fate of Valencia CF and give them a victory in the first match day of the season. But Toño reappeared when striker, former Rayo player, shot at close range without opponents from the penalty spot.
