RCD Espanyol overcame R. Betis in one of the top matches of Liga BBVA Matchday 8. The 1-3 achieved by the Catalans at the Benito Villamarin gave back the joy to a team going from least to most.
Review the top five moments of clash:
1. Early goal
Enzo Roco opened the scoring for the "Periquitos" after 3 minutes when he headed to the net a free-kick by Marco Asensio. The goal gave strength to Sergio Gonzalez´s men, who dominated the ball and had the control of the first half.
2. Joaquín hit the post
Although the Andalusian team grew up with the passage of minutes, failed to score before the break. The clearest chance came from the boots of Joaquín who in the 12th minute crashed the ball on to the post.
3. Caicedo extended the lead
He was looking for it since the beginning of the clash and found it after the break. Felipe Caicedo overstepped Betis defense in a counterattack, widening the gap and showing that Espanyol wants to fight for a good place this course.
4. Marco Asensio made the third
A great solo run by former RCD Mallorca gave light again to the team, who signed the 0-3 just after the half time break. Asensio assisted his teammate Victor Sanchez who sentenced a match that, so far, is the most solid and complete by the Catalans.
5. Dani Ceballos's movements
The young player, newly renovated with Betis, returned confidence to his club by taking the team on his back. Came after the break replacing Alvaro Cejudo and did not ceased to go up and down on the wing to try to surprise in open spaces. One of those arrivals ended in a corner kick which led to the only goal of Betis, scored by Vincenzo Renella.
