Since May 29th, InSpace Polanco has officially opened its doors to Legends: The Ultimate Football Experience, an exhibition developed by LALIGA and Fever that brings together some of the most iconic pieces in the sport, including original items from figures like Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Diego Maradona, and Hugo Sánchez, as well as immersive experiences that revisit the greatest moments in international football.
With over 2,000 square meters dedicated to football, the experience allows fans to explore decades of history through original items belonging to some of the most important figures to have graced international pitches. Among the highlights are hidden gems like Alfredo Di Stéfano's Spanish national team jersey from an international friendly in 1962, and iconic pieces like the kit worn by Diego Armando Maradona during the 1986 World Cup in Mexico.
The tour begins in the Hitos room, where an immersive short film traces the origins of football and its evolution into a global phenomenon. Next, the LALIGA area showcases jerseys and memorabilia associated with iconic figures like Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Diego Armando Maradona, and Diego Simeone.
The experience continues in the Templos room, a tribute to some of the world's most emblematic stadiums through 360° projections, culminating in Champions vs. Libertadores, a space that relives the great feats, rivalries, and historic moments of the most successful clubs in Europe and South America.
With a series of state-of-the-art interactive rooms, LEGENDS connects visitors with the game from a completely different perspective. Highlights include a Gaming Room, virtual reality experiences, multimedia installations, and an immersive 3D Cinema that relives some of the most iconic moments in world football using cutting-edge technology.
The experience was unveiled to two international figures who have driven the sport's development toward professionalism and competitiveness: LALIGA President Javier Tebas and LALIGA and Mexican national team legend Hugo Sánchez.
The legendary Mexican player expressed his pride and joy during the inauguration, declaring:
“Football is memory, emotion, and legacy. We all have moments that have marked us: a goal, a jersey, a stadium, a final, a player. And that is precisely what this experience conveys: the history of football through objects, images, technology, and memories that connect with multiple generations.”
The Legends: The Ultimate Football Experience exhibition pays tribute to "El Pentapichichi" by dedicating an exclusive space to highlight his historic legacy in Mexican and international football.
Meanwhile, LALIGA President Javier Tebas reaffirmed the fundamental importance of Mexico on the international stage, declaring it a strategic market for the top tier of Spanish football:
"That's why bringing LEGENDS to Mexico City makes perfect sense, especially at a time when Mexico is increasingly present in the international football conversation ”, he commented.
LALIGA contributes the legacy, historical dimension, and institutional backing of one of the world's most influential football organizations; while Fever, globally recognized for developing immersive experiences and large-scale events, drives the innovative and technological component that makes LEGENDS a new benchmark for the experiential entertainment industry in Mexico.
With visiting hours throughout the week and a proposal that combines history, technology and entertainment, LEGENDS is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious football experiences to have arrived in Mexico, consolidating Mexico City as one of the key locations for this type of international project.
More than just an exhibition, LEGENDS is a journey through the history of world football. Through hundreds of original artifacts, interactive experiences, and spaces dedicated to the figures who defined an era, fans can relive some of the sport's most memorable moments and connect with the legacy of the legends who transformed the game. Tickets are now available through Fever and the exhibition's official website.
