Jorge Sampaoli's Sevilla FC secured a hard-fought victory over Club Independiente Santa Fe in the second and final match of their LaLiga World tour in Orlando. This was a fitting conclusion to the Andalusian club's successful stay in the United States, during which they flew the flag for LaLiga on the international stage.

Sevilla FC built up a two-goal lead in the first half through Yevhen Konoplyanka and Kevin Gameiro. They were then hit by a blow when Nico Pareja was sent off but, although the Colombians pulled one back, the Europa League champions held firm to clinch a 2-1 win and the Continental Challenge Cup crown.
Sampaoli expressed his satisfaction with his side's efforts both in the match and in training over the past few days: "The highlight of our pre-season so far was the first-half performance today. We have a philosophy that we're working hard to implement. Now I hope that the team stick to that philosophy and improve on the basis of it."
Jonathan Gomez was named Man of the Match and was presented with the award by Carlos Bastida, the LaLiga World operations manager. The Santa Fe star could not hide his delight at the experience of facing one of the top clubs in LaLiga: "I'm pleased. It was a really nice game to play in, and myself and all of my teammates wanted to seize the moment."
