Ruben Castro (Las Palmas, June 27, 1981) became the Best Liga Adelante Forward of the 2014/15 season. The Canary striker of Real Betis Balompié was the true benchmark of a team that managed to dominate the category from beginning to end and eventually achieving promotion to the top flight of Spanish football.
Not only was important in the game but also in the scoring aspect. Betis number '24' was the top scorer of the category with 32 goals, in which would be the best season of his life. He almost scored half of the goals that his team scored in the 42 matches played (73) leading his club to the leadership and achieving promotion to Liga BBVA with two dates remaining.

One of his best partners was Jorge Molina. The Betis´ skipper formed an extraordinary partnership with Castro, forming one of the pairs with more danger of Liga Adelante. Moreover, his condition of fast and skilled forward and with a good knowledge of LaLiga, in which takes 17 seasons, made him pull the team in the most difficult moments.
