After four days in the Californian city of San Francisco, it was time for the Real Sociedad players and staff to pack their bags and set off for Houston, the second and final stop on their LaLiga World tour. Following a three-and-a-half-hour flight, they touched down in Texas in the late afternoon (Friday night Spanish time).
Over the next six days, Eusebio's charges will undergo three training sessions and contest the BBVA Compass Dynamo Charities Cup against MLS outfit the Houston Dynamo. Having succumbed to defeat in their friendly against the San Jose Earthquakes, the opening game of their tour, La Real will be eager to bounce back and claim victory.
The Charities Cup is an annual fixture the Houston Dynamo hold pitting them against a team from outside MLS, with the goal of raising funds for a social non-profit organisation active locally.
Excitement about getting to know new places and high spirits continue to reign among the Basque club's travelling party, who have attracted scores of fans everywhere they have been. Now Real Sociedad have another six days to keep enjoying American culture and flying the flag for LaLiga and Spanish football around the world.
