Football fans in the Majorcan capital of Palma de Mallorca are in luck. RCD Mallorca and National Futsal League (LNFS) club Palma Futsal have teamed up to roll out a joint season ticket offering supporters the chance to see both sides' games live at a bargain price.
Mallorca's CEO and vice-president, Maheta Molango and Monti Galmes, were joined by Palma Futsal president Miquel Jaume to unveil this special initiative, which has been launched under the slogan Junts som millors (Together We Are Better). This is the first time such a package has been available.
The joint tickets will cost €100 – which equates to savings of at least €65 compared to separate season tickets at each club – and some 1,000 are to be put on sale, with seats for Mallorca matches to be located in the Iberostar Stadium's South Stand.
This is not the only measure Mallorca are implementing to encourage their fans to flock to their fixtures this coming campaign. The club has also announced that all season-ticket holders who attend 85% of eligible games will get their seats free the following season if the team secure promotion to the top flight.
Although the joint ticket is a brand-new initiative, this is not the first show of fraternal relations between the two sporting institutions. Last term, to celebrate Mallorca's centenary, the futsal outfit played an LNFS match wearing the football club's shirt as a tribute.
