RCD Espanyol and SD Eibar maintain the winning streak

RCD Espanyol and SD Eibar continued their pre-season preparation, both competing in another game this Friday. The Catalans and Basques earning victories which will give both teams added confidence after passing their latest pre-season tests.

After defeating FC Köln in the Betsafe Cup, RCD Espanyol won 2-1 at Kasimpasa to win the tournament. Despite the Turkish side initially taking the lead, Sergio Gonzalvez’s men rallied impressively and turned the game around with goals from Burgui and Victor Alvarez.

Meanwhile, SD Eibar eventually ran out comfortable winners 3-1 against Real Union de Irun in a game which took until the final minutes to decide. Keko initially put Eibar ahead, but after the men from Irun equalized Dani Nieto finally tipped the balance back to the “armeros” in the dying minutes of the match with a brace.
