The locals of Barranquilla had two dates on their sporting agenda on Friday: the meeting with Argentina in the Copa América and the LaLiga Promises tournament. There was a good turnout at the Estadio Metropolitano to see the youths of LaLiga and support the academy sides of the biggest clubs in Colombia.

In the stands there was music, dancing, signs showing support for the boys, as well as the smiles that have accompanied the youths of LaLiga in this enclave of the Caribbean since they have landed.

The president of LaLiga Javier Tebas was able to experience the great atmosphere that these tournaments produce in Colombia: “We have to thanks the El Larguero Foundation for the opportunity they have given us to push this project at an international level.” Tebas confirmed the idea is to continue going to South America because “It is a way in which they can get to know our football and, at the same time, it allows us to comply with our cooperative social responsibility. We are a league of values.”

After the matches there was a very special moment for the youths of Sevilla FC as they joined music group Palo Santo in the centre circle to sing which provoked dancing in the stands.
