The efforts of LaLiga's Sporting Projects department to provide training for budding coaches in the United States continues apace. The number of individuals having successfully completed courses run under the auspices of this joint LaLiga - US Club Soccer venture has now exceeded the 800 mark.
This past weekend saw over 110 participants complete the LaLiga Formation Methodology – Level 3 course in New York, where attendees were treated to a visit from LaLiga's country manager for the United States, Raul Gonzalez. On this occasion, Hugo Blanco, LaLiga’s sporting projects coordinator and coaches Gari and Zunbeltz Fullaondo led workshops which covered aspects relating to technical, tactical and physical training, the periodisation of sessions and LaLiga's methodology.

This weekend's course sees New York take its place alongside Texas, California, Chicago and Virginia as venues to have hosted the training programme, which is run within the framework of the agreement between LaLiga and US Club Soccer. The main aim of this scheme is to promote knowledge sharing between experts from within the Spanish game and their American counterparts. LaLiga's presence in the United States is becoming ever more prominent and these courses, which are a part of LaLiga's globalisation strategy, represent further evidence of the organisation's international growth.
