Miami was dressed up to enjoy #ElClasico, a match which was lived in a very especial way in the American City thanks to the holding of LaLiga Global Events. The event attracted hundreds of American fans who were dazzled with a match of Spanish football.
Along with other places like the UME International Cineplex in Shanghai (China) or the Spanish military detachment in Lebanon, the Margaret Pace Park Miami was the stage where the match could be enjoyed on a giant screen in high quality 4K in a successful event which served as a meeting point for hundreds of fans around the world.
Park gates were opened at 10:00 (local time) to give the initial kick off to a completely free and full of incentives celebration organized by LaLiga in collaboration with BeIN Sports USA. Two legends of La Liga as Gaizka Mendieta, Liga BBVA Ambassador, and David Villa, New York City FC footballer, were the special guests of this event which had Marcela Eva and George Metellus, journalists of Bein Sports USA as emcees.
In addition, LaLiga fans could enjoyed the musical performances by Lorena Gomez and Gipsy & Chico Castillo, received exclusive gifts and even had the opportunity to participate in a contest to win a trip to Spain for two with tickets to a Liga BBVA match, as well as a customized shirt of their favorite team. To do this, the fans at the Margaret Pace Park had to write a headline over a photograph projected during the match mentioning @LaLiga and @beINSPORTSUSA, besides using the hashtag #ElClasico on Twitter.
Gaizka Mendieta was in charge of selecting the lucky ones. Following this success, Miami eagerly awaits the start of LaLiga Promises, the prestigious international U-12 tournament to be held between 27 and 29 December in the state of Florida.
