Matchday 1 of LaLiga 2016/17

The draw for the 2016/17 season at the headquarters of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) threw up the following games for the opening round of the campaign. Champions FC Barcelona kick off at home to Real Betis while Real Madrid travel to Anoeta to play Real Sociedad. Top-flight debutants CD Leganes visit RC Celta de Vigo at Balaidos.
