They are responsible for safeguarding the goal when the opponent is pressing. A sensitive figure and in many cases observed with magnifying glass for the risk involved in a failure in that area of the field. They are the goalkeepers and live its peak when they are able to stop a penalty kick.
The clearest chance in football was disrupted during this weekend by Germán Lux, Ruben Martinez, Alphonse Areola and Vicente Guaita. Moreover, they all chose to throw themselves to their right, achieving a 100% of success.

Lux case was one of the most exciting. The joy of the goal by Lucas Perez in 'O Noso Derbi' was marred when the referee called for penalty in RC Celta's favor. The last chance to avoid the draw to one in the Galician derby was in the hands of the "Blanquiazul" goalie, who in an exercise of intuition stopped the kick from the penalty spot, avoiding the visitor's reaction.

The match was on track to Levante 0-3 and seemed sentenced when R. Sporting had a penalty in its favor. Ruben Martinez came out to help his team and leave the result immovable. A hard-fought victory in an always difficult field as El Molinón Stadium, which was achieved largely by the good performance by the goalkeeper.

The last excellent save of the day was left by Alphonse Areola. The French goalkeeper of Villarreal CF stopped the penalty, just as his counterparts, to the right, just when the clash was 0-1 and near the half time break. In the end, his side drew, putting more in relief the outstanding reflexes he exhibited.
Worse luck had Vicente Guaita. In the match between Getafe and Rayo Vallecano the Valencian managed to stop Roberto Trashorras kick when his team was winning by a goal. Guaita got it right throwing himself to his right and saved the penalty, but could do nothing after the deflection when unmarked Jozabad topped in to establish the final draw in the Madrid derby.
