Lots of action on Saturday´s friendlies

The preseason goes ahead with less than a week for the curtain rising of LaLiga. On the bank holiday of August 15, they have been ten Liga teams who have finished their preparation with their last summer friendlies matches.

One of the most important and intense matches of the day was the R. Betis vs Atletico Madrid in the final of the Ramón de Carranza Trophy. Atletico took the award of the legendary summer tournament in the city of Cadiz thanks to a 3-0 win with goals from Jose Maria Giménez, Jackson Martinez and Angel Correa. In the runners-up final, Granada CF won Cadiz CF 1-3.

The clash between R. Valladolid CF and SD Eibar left an emotional reunion between Gaizka Garitano (currently manager of the Castilian team) and the "Armero" side, who led last year in LaLiga. The "pucelanos" lifted the XLII Ciudad de Valladolid Trophy by defeating the "guipuzcuanos" 1-0.

R. Sporting and Villarreal CF commemorated the 110th anniversary of the “Asturiano” Club with a friendly match that ended with victory for the visitors (0-1) thanks to a goal from Leo Baptistão in the return of Marcelino García Toral to El Molinon. With the victory, the "amarillo" team signed an immaculate preseason with no defeats against.
