LaLiga's integrity department will kick off a seminar programme aimed at the various age groups in LaLiga clubs' youth ranks on Thursday 6 October. It will be tailored to Spanish youth football with the aim of raising awareness about the risks pertaining to misconduct.
The various age groups within the youth system at each club will be split into two groups, with one comprising children between the ages of eight and 13, and the other covering those from 13 up to 18. In both cases LaLiga will stress the importance of respect towards the sport, teammates, referees, opponents and fans, as well as the need to completely eradicate all racist acts both on and off the pitch.
LaLiga will also endeavour to emphasise the importance of best practice on social media and ensure the groups of 13- to 18-year-olds are aware that any sort of involvement in sports betting, be it direct or indirect, is completely illegal.
The first club whose youth set-up will participate in the seminars will be CD Leganes on Thursday 6 October. The youth ranks at the other 41 LaLiga clubs, as well as those in the Liga Iberdrola, will all also subsequently take part. The players who make up the first-team squads of LaLiga Santander and LaLiga 1|2|3 clubs will also attend seminars from January 2017.
