Leganes and Cordoba keep pushing hard in the Liga Adelante

CD Mirandes 1-1 UD Almeria

Second game of the year, even points and two teams that remain undefeated. Soriano scored in his own goal straight after halftime but Jorge Morcillo equalized and rescued a point.

Nastic 1-2 CD Lugo

Nastic were unable to make a difference against CD Lugo, in a game between two rivals for promotion positions. The Galician side got ahead through Jonathan Pereira. Two minutes afterwards Naranjo equalized, but their joy hardly lasted ten minutes. Carlos Hernandez would score again for the away team. Both sides are on 30 points.

AD Alcorcon 1-0 Girona FC

AD Alcorcon knew of the importance of the three points in order to sleep in promotion spots, and Chema Rodriguez was the wan in charge of achieving it. Second goal of the season for the defender which extend the dream of playing in the Liga BBVA. Girona were unable to turn the tables and can’t get away for the bottom of the league.

R. Valladolid CF 1-1 Elche CF

When Alvaro’s goal seemed like it was enough to take the three points to Alicante, Rodri rescued a point during stoppage time. The final draw leaves both teams unsatisfied as they remain in the mid positions in the league. It was an open match during the first half, but it had to be resolved in the second. Alvaro scored in the 69th minute and Rodri avoided the defeat in the 90th.

CD Numancia 0-1 D. Alaves

Crafted victory for Alaves to become stronger up top. It was in the final minutes when the only goal of the game was scored in order to take the three points. Numancia had many chances to change things, but they weren’t accurate towards goal. The match stood out for its parity and it was resolved in the 83rd minute with Sergio Llamas’ header.

R. Oviedo 1-0 R. Zaragoza

Toche was key for the team from Asturias once again and he allows the home side to keep dreaming in the top positions of the league after beating Zaragoza, who are still going through development with their new manager. The striker from Murcia scored the victory goal after a great counter-attack where the connection between Kone and Toche was vital at Carlos Tartiere.

UD Llagostera 0-1 CD Leganes

The Madrid team won in their visit to Llagostera thanks to Ruben Peña’s goal. It was a crucial victory, as it leaves Asier Garitano’s men in play-off positions. In contrast, the home team remain in relegation spots. Garitano played Ruben Peña up front and it worked, as he scored the only goal of the game.

SD Huesca 0-1 At. Osasuna

It was a contended game, with chances for both teams, but it was Osasuna who struck first. In the 14th minute, Kenan Kodoro put the away side ahead thanks to a perfectly finished personal play. The 0-1 score wouldn’t change for the remaining 80 minutes. The team from Navarra is fifth in the league, while Huesca falls to the 18th position.

Bilbao Athletic 0-1 Albacete B.

We had to wait until the 92nd minute to see the ball at the back of the net. Adri Gomez was the man in charge of giving Albacete a breather, who with the three points leave the relegation positions. In the last play of the game, Adri finished a corner kick with a centred volley to seal the victory.

SD Ponferradina 0-1 CD Tenerife

Under the rain, Tenerife has a welcome break in the Liga Adelante thanks to Kenan Kodro’s goal. The weather conditions made it difficult for both teams from the start. They had to adapt to the circumstances and to the tiredness of the big effort that was required. The goal came from a counter-attack where Nano shot on Santamarias’ goal and the keeper was unable to react, with the ball slipping out of his hands. With the 0-1 in the 82nd minute, the match was sealed.

Cordoba 3-1 R. Mallorca

Important victory for the Andalusians which puts them back into the second position in the league. Florin Andone, Xisco and Markovic were the men in charge of bringing joy to their supporters at El Nuevo Arcangel with their goals. On their part, Mallorca couldn’t react until the second half, when Brandon scored a goal which wasn’t enough to get any points. Victory stays at home for Cordoba as they approach the first place.
