This Friday saw LaLiga's country manager for the United States, Raul Gonzalez, welcome a group of prize winners from the Santander bank's ‘1l2l3 a correr’ ('1l2l3 Get running') programme to LaLiga's New York office prior to their participation in the city's marathon on Sunday.
Raul expressed his delight at being able to play host to the competitors, commenting that "It's a great pleasure for LaLiga to be welcoming this group of ‘1l2l3 a correr’ runners to our offices. One of our objectives is to help to promote the values of the Spanish game within American society, and football and other sports like running share many of these values. We're therefore very happy to be involved in this scheme. We wish you all the best for Sunday's race and hope to be able to welcome you back here to the LaLiga office again next year."

The group of competitors are the lucky winners of a draw held amongst Santander clients. As a part of their prize, the winners have been handed the opportunity to get themselves in peak condition and to travel to New York to take their place on the starting line for one of the biggest races on the planet.
This visit offers further evidence of the close working relationships that LaLiga maintains with all of its international sponsors and partners as a part of its efforts to promote the competition and the values which have seen it become the best league in the world. The New York office opened at the turn of the year and continues to be heavily involved in programmes which aim to enhance the presence of the Spanish professional game across the United States.
