With another round of LaLiga Santander action all done and dusted, it's time to take stock and reveal the latest LaLiga Fantasy MARCA Best XI, which features players from no less than eight teams. Real Madrid are the dominant force in this star-studded lineup, with Marcelo, Toni Kroos and Cristiano Ronaldo all doing enough to make the cut.
The Player of the Matchday honours, however, go to Atletico Madrid defender Juanfran, whose stellar display in his side's 3-0 triumph over UD Las Palmas saw him chalk up an impressive 15 points.
Taking his place between the sticks this time round is Malaga CF's Roberto (9). The Madrid-born shotstopper earns his spot in the Best XI after producing some real heroics to keep Girona FC at bay in the sides' goalless stalemate at La Rosaleda.
On this occasion, the formidable-looking Best XI backline is made up of players from four different clubs. Slotting in alongside Player of the Matchday Juanfran is Malaga's Luis Hernandez (14), Girona centre-back Bernardo and Real Madrid's Marcelo, who both accrued 13 points.
The standout performer in the midfield ranks is Villarreal CF's flying winger Samu Castillejo (13).He is joined in the engine room by Kroos (10), who was on target in Los Blancos' 4-1 away rout over Valencia CF, and RC Deportivo's Carles Gil, who claimed an assist en route to picking up 11 points in the Galicians' draw against Levante UD.
The team's forward line consists of an attacking trio that plundered a total of six goals in the latest round of fixtures. Cristiano Ronaldo (15) netted twice from the spot against Los Che, whilst Iago Aspas (14) also bagged a brace as RC Celta overcame Real Betis to claim another three points and edge themselves towards the European spots. Completing this three-pronged strikeforce is Levante's Ivi (14), who struck a late double to rescue a point for the Valencians in their trip to Riazor.
