A delegation from LaLiga and several of its football clubs gathered this weekend at Le Mans for the French MotoGP to observe how the FIM MotoGP World Championship goes about its business. The expedition is led by LaLiga's CEO of Innovation and Global Development, Nacho Martinez Trujillo, who is accompanied by marketing executives from Atlético Madrid, Real Sociedad, Valencia CF, R. Betis, Rayo Vallecano, Málaga CF, RCD Espanyol, RC Celta de Vigo, Granada CF and Levante UD.

The main objective of the trip is to show LaLiga and its clubs how the FIM MotoGP World Championship operates and how 'Dorna' works in areas such as television broadcasting and social media. In order to observe this work up close, the group were accompanied by Dorna representatives on a tour of the paddock, the media centre, where the mobile TV units are located. There they sat in on the different press conferences taking place there.

"LaLiga wants to learn from those at the cutting edge of sports broadcasting and MotoGP is clearly amongst them. We believe that we can learn a lot here, although we cannot extrapolate everything to our sport due to its differences." He added "we're taking note of how MotoGP deals with key issues such as logistics, television, the media and VIPs, as well as the relationship between teams and riders." To conclude, LaLiga's CEO of Innovation and Global Development said that he would like to see LaLiga take a similar direction with the same concept and philosophy.

This point of view shows that the FIM MotoGP World Championship is not only a leader in motor sports, but also in terms of how it keeps the championship in pole position in areas such as management and innovation. During the second part of the MotoGP World Championship, representatives from other LaLiga clubs will attend other MotoGP races to continue sharing their experience with each other.
