Elche CF and Getafe CF face off this Thursday at 22:00, in one of the final games of matchday 30 in the Liga BBVA.
Only victory will do for the ilicitanos, currently on 28 points, if they want to remain outside the relegation zone for another week. The franjiverdes have gone three games without a win but should be confident of getting a result in front of their own fans, in order to take another step towards survival. They will be up against a Getafe side who moved on 32 points after the win over RC Deportivo on Sunday and will be looking to move yet further away from the bottom three.
Team news
Elche go into this game without Sergio Pelegrín through injury and Pedro Mosquera, who is suspended. Getafe meanwhile are still without Karim Yoda, Ángel Lafita and Juan Valera, who are all injured for lengthy spells.

Fran Escribá spoke of the importance of the game and asked for the support of his club's fans. He said: "We got a good draw in our last match (against RC Espanyol) but we need to keep on picking up points, this time against a direct rival. Our fans always respond and it’s always easier for us when they get behind us. I want to see an atmosphere fitting of a big match, we need our fans supporting us for the whole 90 minutes".
His opposite number, Pablo Franco, also highlighted the importance of this game in his side’s bid to avoid relegation. He explained: "We need to keep working and taking things step by step. We are up against another direct rival and the difference in points between the two teams is minimum, therefore we can’t afford to relax nor think we've already got the job done".
