Match Facts:
Granada (19th, 23 pts):
- Jose Gonzalez started off his tenure as Granada coach on a high note at Riazor. His first match in charge yielded a precious victory against RC Deportivo which lifted his side off the foot of the Liga BBVA table and boosted their mood ahead of their meeting with direct relegation rivals Sporting.

- "Sporting have a different vision of the game and we have to be ready to face all sorts of opponents, conscious of what they bring to the table, and adapt to how they're going to play against us," the coach pointed out ahead of the match.
Sporting (18th, 28 pts):
- The Asturians lost 4-2 at home to RCD Espanyol last time out and are in the midst of a rough patch. They will be looking to rediscover the performance levels they showed in their most recent win, an impressive 1-0 triumph at Mestalla at the end of January, when they looked assured at the back in addition to dangerous going forward.

- Carlos Castro has been right on cue for Sporting in the last three matchdays. The in-form striker has chalked up four goals in these games, one apiece against FC Barcelona and Real Betis, and a brace against Espanyol. He will be bidding to keep up this hot streak in Granada.
Don't leave Granada without... exploring the Albaicin. Granada's Moorish past has left a deep imprint on the city. Nowhere is this influence seen more strongly than in this picturesque, charismatic neighbourhood which is tucked between the Alhambra and San Cristobal hills, the Sacromonte district, and the lively Calle Elvira.
