Rayo Vallecano and Getafe CF will bring matchday 36 in the Liga BBVA to an end in the Estadio de Vallecas. The hosts are 12th place in the table with 43 points and are still hopeful of grabbing seventh spot, while Pablo Franco's side sit 15th in the table on 36 points and will be looking for a win that will seal their status in the top flight for another year.
Team news
Paco Jémez will have to make do without Abdoulaye Ba due to injury and Jorge Morcillo, who is suspended, but welcomes back Léo Baptistão, Cristian Álvarez and Antonio Amaya from injury. Pablo Franco meanwhile is still without four key players: Karim Yoda, Álvaro Vázquez, Ángel Lafita and Juan Valera.
The view from the dugouts
Paco Jémez, the Rayo Vallecano, hopes that the fans will continue to get behind his team. "I want to make a call to arms to the fans because we need their support and encouragement. They never let us down and I hope we'll be able to count on their support on Monday." Meanwhile, Pablo Franco insisted his side would have to manage the stages of the game well. "We have to focus and play with intensity. They have a lot variety in their play because they take risks and leave themselves exposed."
