RCD Espanyol were 0-2 victors at SD Eibar in matchday 36 of Liga BBVA, with the Catalan outfit overcoming the Basques in a tricky game. Gaizka Garitano’s side are in 17th on 31 points, while Sergio González’s outfit are in seventh place on 49 points, with the rest of the matchday still to come.

Javi Lara would try again after 22 minutes, however it flew just wide. The visitors would then take advantage after 29 minutes, with Sergio García beating Xabi Irureta. Garitano’s men tried to overturn the 0-1 scoreline however it was not for budging.
In the second half, Eibar needed a goal, however Espanyol soon double their advantage. Sergio García played the ball in from the right, and Christian Stuani trapped the ball and scored right footed from just inside the area. The goal was a tough blow to take for the home side, who had tried their best but had little luck. Eibar tried until the end, with Javi Lara threatening, however Kiko Casillas was not to be beaten and 0-2 was the final score, meaning Eibar could not end their bad run of results.
