Córdoba CF will face Rayo Vallecano on matchday 37 in the Liga BBVA. The Andalusians, who will play in the Liga Adelante next season, will want to give their supporters a victory to celebrate in their final home game. But they will be up against a Rayo Vallecano side in 11th place on 46 points who, like a number of other teams, will be looking to pick up points in order to finish the season as high as possible in the table.

Fede Cartabia and Íñigo López are suspended for Córdoba while Iago Bouzón and JoséÁngel Crespo are injured. Rayo will be without Manucho through suspension and Abdoulaye Ba through injury.

Aware that the Andalusian side are only playing for pride, coach JoséAntonio Romero declared: “This is another opportunity for us to win and we need to be proud and show character in these difficult times.”
His opposite number Paco Jémez, a former Córdoba player and coach, said the match would be special for him. “I care about everything that happens to Córdoba. I grew up there and I wish them the very best in the future,”he said.
The coach also spoke about how important it was to finish the season well: “We are going to try and pick up the six points remaining. At the very least, we want to finish eighth again.”
