Cordoba CF vice-president Javier Jimenez and Pedro Garcia, the deputy mayor of the city of Cordoba, took centre stage at an event held this morning to present details of a joint project aiming to promote football and its values in Mumbai, India and boost the Cordoba brand's international presence.
The club and Cordoba City Council will be staging a Cordoba CF-branded football camp in Mumbai from 26 to 30 December, in association with Lemon Break Sports and BePro Football. The camp will give a group of children aged six to 16 the opportunity to hone their technique and enhance their tactical understanding of the game.
Furthermore, Cordoba City Council will not just be sponsoring the shirts worn by the camp participants: the institution will also be taking on a lead role in the second stage of the project. This will see business representatives from the Andalusian city, as well as council and club officials, travel to the Indian metropolis to meet with local entrepreneurs and corporate figures between 12 and 16 January.
Where Cordoba CF are concerned, this whole initiative is part of a wider international development plan which seeks to expand the CCFWorldwide brand, under the banner of which a host of related activities will be rolled out in the United States, Mexico, the Middle East, Latin America and other Asian countries such as China, Indonesia and Malaysia.
