Celta remains undefeated after a vibrating match against Getafe

Guaita's crucial saves

RC Celta began the match by setting a high tempo that put the "Azulones" in serious trouble. The team from Vigo stalked Getafe's goal on several occasions during the early stages of the game and had to be Vicente Guaita who, with a fine save to a shot by Iago Aspas, saved his team.

Guaita not only prevented the "Celeste" team to go away with advantage in the half time break, but also was the goal post which stopped the team lead by Eduardo Berizzo. A measured pass from Daniel Wass reached Iago Aspas, who dribbled Guaita masterfully but crashed his shoot against the post.

The recent winner of Liga BBVA Player of the Month Award for September, put the team on his back again and was involved in many of the best actions of the match. In the second half he grew up and stroked the goal twice, but had no luck in front of goal.

Revulsive

Stefan Šćepović replaced Alvaro Vazquez in the 68th minute and gave much more energy to the Getafe's front line. In fact, the Serbian striker was very close to giving the victory to the locals with a header that hit the crossbar of the goal defended by Sergio Alvarez.

On the local side, John Guidetti also brushed the 1-0 just coming off the bench. His shot, from the heart of the box, was stopped by Guaita, who saved Getafe once more.

Getafe's solidity

Celta hit the gas at the closing stages of the match with the aim of overthrowing the "Azulona" defense and take all three points. But the team from the south of the capital showed his strength to curb the Galician team attack and get a valuable point at Balaídos.
