RC Celta and Málaga CF meet for matchday 34 of the Liga BBVA. The Galicians and Andalusians will battle it out for the three points up for grabs in Balaídos in order to move closer towards wrapping up seventh place in the division and securing qualification to Europe. The home team are ninth in the league with 42 points, while the Costa del Sol side currently lie seventh with 47 points on the board. The result of this game could either keep Celta in the fight for continental football next season or allow the visitors to tighten their grip on their much-coveted position.

Team news

Celta have the majority of their squad available for this game, apart from Nemajna Radoja, Carles Planas and Borja Oubiña, who are all still injured. Making his way into the squad is youth academy player Borja Fernández. Meanwhile, Javi Gracia has a full list of players available with the exception of Ignacio Camacho, who is currently in final stages of overcoming an injury.

Views from the dugouts

Málaga manager Javi Gracia expects a tough game against Celta: "They are one of the most in-form sides at the moment, and are capable of giving any team a good game". His counterpart in the other dugout, Eduardo Berizzo, also spoke about the match: "This is an encounter against a rival we want to overtake in the league. We know it will be difficult because Málaga are a dangerous team that like to play good football".
