Just 90 minutes. That is all that separates FC Barcelona from matching their best-ever showing in the Women's Champions League. The Catalans are a step away from the quarter-finals, but Xavi Llorens' side will be made to work hard to seal the deal. Although they prevailed in the last-16 first leg against FC Twente, they could only eke out a 1-0 win at the Miniestadi – courtesy of Jenni Hermoso's solitary strike– and so the tie is wide open.
These two teams know each other all too well, having also faced off at the same stage of last season's competition. Indeed, the Spaniards will take heart from the outcome of last year's meetings, when they progressed to the quarters thanks to 1-0 victories in both legs. However, back then the all-important return match was on their own patch, whereas on this occasion it comes away from home.
Just over a year on, Barcelona travel to the Twente Stadion again and will once more expect to be greeted by a cauldron-like atmosphere. Indeed, last term a new attendance record was set when the Azulgranas came to town, with over 15,000 fans – the biggest-ever crowd for a Women's Champions League round-of-16 game – turning out for the encounter in the Netherlands. It is widely anticipated that this figure will be surpassed this time round.

A 16-player matchday squad has made the trip to Enschede for Barça and Vicky Losada – who recently returned to the club – is also part of the expedition despite not yet being eligible to feature. Ane Bergara has stayed behind in the Catalan capital as she remains sidelined with an ankle problem, while Mariona Caldentey, Sandra Hernandez, Patricia Guijarro and Aitana Bonmati are all still away with Spain at the U-20 Women's World Cup in Papua New Guinea.
