The UEFA Best Player in Europe Award 2015/16 is heading back to a player from the LaLiga Santander once again. The dazzling performances in Spain and in European competitions from Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale (Real Madrid) and Antoine Griezmann (Atletico Madrid) mean that one of them will be collecting the coveted award on August 25th.
Four of the last five winners have come from LaLiga. In 2011 it was FC Barcelona's Lionel Messi and in 2012 his club team mate Andres Iniesta. In 2014 it was Cristiano Ronaldo and last year it was Messi once again.
