First leg of Spanish Super Cup, second leg of the Super Cup and LaLiga. Three stakes, three points at play and a title to lift. Athletic Club and FC Barcelona, FC Barcelona and Athletic Club. The first of three meetings that will take them to see their faces will be on Friday 14 August, the first time in just over a week.
The first of the three meetings, the first leg of the Super Cup of Spain, will be key to measure the point of shape they arriving to the match. Both teams will try to find the weak points of their opponent, with whom will soon have another dispute. Athletic Club, home team in the first match, comes from beating Inter Baku in the Europa League. Barcelona, meanwhile, visit the new San Mamés after winning the European Super Cup against Sevilla FC.
The second leg will depend on the result of the first leg, but certainly a match of this nature always pleasantly surprises. This time, LaLiga Champion, Barcelona, will have the crowd on his side, something that did not happen in the Copa del Rey final played at the Camp Nou, where Barca fans shared the ground with the “rojiblancos" in a clash that also took place in the stands.
With everything to play for in LaLiga and after the Super Cup of Spain has been decided, they will play at Athletic Club Stadium the first match of the league competition. Sunday August 23 at 18:30 pm, this footballing appointment will decide who the winner is this third assault, the first of 2015/16 season.
