Alves will continue wearing blue and red

FC Barcelona have made public the renewal of Brazilian full-back Dani Alves’s contract so that the South American player will stay tied to the club until June 30, 2017. The said agreement also includes the option of a third season.

During this season, Dani Alves has once again proven himself to be one of the best in his position, playing a total of 30 games in the Liga BBVA amongst a total of 2,524 minutes and providing six assists.

Alves arrived at Can Barça in the 2008/09 season from Sevilla CF, therefore should he see out his new contract the azulgrana number 22, who has just finished a dream season with Luis Enrique’s side after winning the treble (Liga BBVA 2014/15, Copa del Rey 2014/15 y UEFA Champions League 2014/15), he would complete nine years with Barcelona.
