LALIGA held a new edition of the Luis Gil Torres Awards, a recognition that distinguishes the professionalism, dedication and commitment of club delegates across LALIGA EA SPORTS and LALIGA HYPERMOTION. The awards bear the name of Luis Gil Torres, in memory of the man who served as LALIGA's Head of Competitions for almost seven years.

The Best Delegate Award for LALIGA EA SPORTS for the 2025/26 season went to Sendoa Aguirre Basterrechea, from Athletic Club. The award was presented by Fran Soto, president of the Referees Technical Committee.

Meanwhile, Rubén Fontes Suárez, from UD Las Palmas, received the Best Delegate Award for LALIGA HYPERMOTION for the 2025/26 season, presented by Javier Gómez, LALIGA's Corporate Director General.

LALIGA also wished to recognise the professional career of Javier Galiano Lentijo, delegate of Girona FC, on the occasion of his forthcoming retirement. The recognition was presented by Raúl Ojeda, head of the Competitions department.

The awards, decided by votes from First and Second Division referees, recognise each season the work of a key figure for the smooth running of professional competitions.

Those in attendance included, among others, Fran Soto, president of the Referees Technical Committee; Fernando Teixeira Vitienes and Gregorio Manzano, members of the Professional Competition Arbitration Committee; Javier Gómez, LALIGA Corporate Director General; Ricardo Resta, Director of Football Intelligence & Performance; Raúl Ojeda, head of the Competitions department; and Sonia Moreno and Juanjo Montaner, also members of LALIGA's Competitions area.
